Never, in my days as a rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary, did I imagine that I would pen an opinion column in support of bacon.
Bacon, after all, is the epitome of all that is not kosher. Although I know many people excited by the recent bacon craze (bacon ice cream! bacon coffee! bacon salt!), I've been blase. Yet I find myself bemused by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine's recent publicity stunt. I'm not sure this is the way to create change.
